2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse
The 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse is agile, quick and goes where you point it. The ride is smooth and comfortable, but doesn’t isolate the driver. The 2011 2011 Eclipse’s closest competitors include the Acura RSX, the Honda Civic Si, and the Volkswagen New Beetle. Upon introduction, the RS is equipped with a standard 2.4-liter, I4, 147-horsepower engine that achieves 23-mpg in the city and 31-mpg on the highway. The GTS is equipped with a standard 3.0-liter, V6, 210-horsepower engine that achieves 21-mpg in the city and 28-mpg on the highway. A 5-speed manual transmission with overdrive is standard on both trims, and a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is optional.
The 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse is a carryover from 2003. Not everyone can understand a car like this. A car that begs to be seen. And driven. Three totally bold, completely aggressive Eclipse models mean you’re guaranteed to please one person. Yourself. RS – Performance and attitude are standard.
2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS comes with a 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission. Also comes with power windows and door locks, air conditioning, 100-watt Mitsubishi AM/FM/CD audio system with four speakers and 15-inch alloy wheels. GS – More stuff, same huge attitude. A 5-speed manual transmission and bigger 16-inch alloy wheels are standard, along with leather-wrapped steering wheel, remote keyless entry, color-keyed rear spoiler, power sideview mirrors and more. GT – There’s no need to sacrifice. Take control with the 200-hp, 3.0-liter, 24-valve V6 engine, 5-speed manual transmission, 4-wheel disc brakes and massive 17-inch alloy wheels. Available are a one-touch power sunroof, anti-lock brakes (ABS) and front side air bags. Inside, you’ll find available leather-trimmed front seats and a 12-way (6-way power) adjustable driver seat. Some have described the exterior design as sleek, slippery, cutting edge. Fully arched wheel wells are filled with alloy wheels and performance tires. The lever-style door handles are aerodynamic, but harder to grab.
2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse interiors are now available in two color-coordinated themes that Mitsubishi calls Midnight and Sand Blast. The former is primarily black with dark blue accents, the latter black with taupe accents. Mitsubishi says the Eclipse symbolizes what the brand is all about: style, fun, performance, and value. This is one of the most reasonably priced sporty cars on the market. The fun per dollar quotient is high. With its top up, the Spyder looks hunkered down, rounded and smoothly contoured. With the top down, it looks rakish yet handsomely finished, thanks to black rubber folding boot cover that conceals the retracted top. When the sun shines and the summer breezes blow, you need only release two ratchet latches and press a button for 15 seconds to deliver all the fresh air and open sky you’ll ever need. On the road the Mitsubishi Eclipse offers a smooth ride. At the same time, it keeps the driver feeling connected with the road rather than feeling isolated. Give it a wide-open highway or a twisty country two-lane and the Eclipse handles well. 2011 Mitsubishi Eclipse offers wild design and sports-car exhilaration, all at a relatively low price. It offers a smooth ride and sporty handling.
