2011 Nissan Altima Hybrid
The Nissan Altima Hybrid for 2011 is one car that people are going to want to consider for their hybrid car purchase. However, though this car is a hybrid there are a few things about the car that people are not too happy about. The first being the fact that it is only available in states that have California state emission laws intact, which means that the majority of those that want to buy such a car are going to find it harder to find these cars. This seems to be the only huge reason why people are a bit afraid to purchase this car. Though, with more and more states encouraging the sale of these hybrid cars, it should not be long until the Altima Hybrid is being brought to the state nearest you. With that being said, the details of the Altima Hybrid are going to be the same as most other hybrids out there. The car comes with a continuously variable transmission and a 2.5 liter, four cylinder engine that is going to give around 33 miles per gallon according to the EPA. In terms of gas mileage, the competition has a leg up on the Altima Hybrid offering much higher miles per gallon. Another aspect to point out is that Nissan borrowed the same technology that Toyota uses on the Camry Hybrid, thus most people are a bit surprised to learn this and yet still find that the Toyota Prius is getting much more better gas mileage.
When driving the Altima Hybrid, test drivers have said that the power is not that great and that when taking off the person is not going to be too impressed since it is not going to give them the power that they would expect from a Nissan Altima. And other people have pointed out that when the car switches from battery powered to running on gas, the change is noticeable, which is something that people do not complain about with other hybrid's that are out there. The handling of the car is something that people are not too happy about either. The handling is electric powered, and people say that while driving the car it is a bit numb and absorbs each and every bump that the person goes over. The steering is a bit tight at times, according to many drivers, which is one again a mark in the negative for the Nissan Altima Hybrid.
In terms of looks, those that are interested find that the Hybrid looks exactly like the gas powered option, which means that the person is not going to have to sacrifice looks in order to own the hybrid, which is a huge plus for those wanting a good looking mid size sedan. Interior wise, it is roomy and those that ride in it are going to find that they have room. Though those that ride in the back may find that they are not too happy after sitting on the stiff seats. So all in all, is the Nissan Altima Hybrid worth your time and effort to add to your family? Most people are pointing out that the Hybrid needs a few tweaks made to it before it can really compete with the competition and win.
