2011 Toyota Camry Hybrid
For those that are thinking that they have to sacrifice size when they decide to drive a hybrid that is no longer the case with many mid size sedans being offered that are hybrids. For example, the Toyota Camry Hybrid, which is the exact same body and style as the Camry, but with an electric and gas engine working together to make fuel economy much better. The engine is a hybrid engine that is composed of a 2.4 liter, four cylinder engine that produces around 148 horsepower, and is combined with a 45 horsepower electric engine. The good news about the Camry Hybrid is that the car can run on any combination of the two. The power of the engine is going to allow for good take off power and overall power which can be compared to most six cylinder engines out there that are not getting the good gas mileage that these cars are getting. Gas mileage wise most people are going to find that on average they are going to get thirty miles per gallon. Which may not seem like much when compared to the other hybrid's that are out there, but they are producing less emissions that are being put into the air.
One of the best things about the Toyota Camry Hybrid is that the person is going to find that just because this is a hybrid does not mean that they are going to have to sacrifice much for what they are getting. There is still many standard safety features on the car that is the same with the original Camry. They are going to find that the car has air bags in the front on both the driver and the passenger side, as well as side air bags and air bags that are meant to protect the knees in a crash. There are some other optional equipment that can be found on the Hybrid including premium features that are going to make the car feel much more like a luxury vehicle than anything else that they have had.
One of the best features about the Camry Hybrid is that it is going to conserve power when sitting at a standstill in traffic or at lights. While allowing the person to take off when they are ready to go once again without even noticing that the car is getting no power. With other hybrids that are out there, when this occurs, the person is going to have to deal with the fact that the air and other features turn off as well. But, with the Camry Hybrid the air is still going to run as well as the radio to make the person feel much more comfortable.
One of the sacrifices that people are going to make with the Camry Hybrid is the fact that the trunk space is reduced by around five cubic feet when compared to the other models of Camry out there. This is to compensate for the room that the battery pack is going to take up, however, most people are willing to make this sacrifice for the fuel economy.
