2012 Buick Regal
With General Motors doing so well nowadays, people cannot wait to see what the company comes up with next. The Buick company has remade the Regal and for the 2012 model, there are going to be some nice surprises for those that are fans of the car from the past. Despite the fact that Buick was just about to be pulled from the lineup, these new cars that they are producing are showing that they are not done yet, and none says it more than the new 2012 Buick Regal.
So what is so special about the Buick Regal for 2012? If people think back to the Buick Regal, then they are going to automatically picture big cars that were considered family cars. However, one look at the new Regal and most people are going to have to stare a second time in order to make sure that they are seeing a Regal in front of them. The company has given a new edge to the Regal. It still has the four doors that sedans are meant to have, however, the sleek lines and shape of the car gives it a more sportier appearance that makes people itch to get behind the wheel. Which makes sense since the designers did take inspiration from race cars. With an integrated rear spoiler and the sharp lines of the car, the racing look was definitely achieved.
One of the most interesting features about the 2012 Regal is the Interactive Drive Control that allows for people to switch the suspension and the steering to meet their desire or the weather conditions. People will have three modes to choose from which includes the standard, the sport and the GS mode. Basically, in one package, Buick has been able to give people three possible ways to drive the car in order to give consumers more options, plus it allows for better fuel mileage when people are wanting it.
The engine is a 2.0 liter Turbocharged that gets around 225 horsepower. The car can go from zero to sixty in less than seven seconds, which is impressive for any car that is categorized in the Sedan section. Buick is proud to say that though the car performs well and is up to standards with some higher engines, the car still gets the gas mileage of a car that is a four cylinder. Transmission wise, the car is first going to be available in a six speed manual, however, they do plan on introduction a six speed automatic transmission down the road. So for those that are itching to have one of these and cannot drive a manual, they should be able to do so soon.
The car is also equipped with a four wheel independent system, which is going to help the car to handle beautifully. No matter the driving conditions the car is going to be able to grip the road and keep the car where the driver wants it without fear of losing control.
The interior of the car is yet another way to notice that the designers were going for the racing look. The pedals in the car are those that are metal sports pedals which helps give the driver the feel that they are truly driving a racing machine. They have also included leather twelve way sport driving seats in every model so to increase the feel of racing. The front seats, both driver and passenger are going to be heated with the ability for the people in the car to adjust the lumbar support.
Other features of the 2012 Regal include push button start, XM Satellite radio access for free for the first three months, a 320 Watt sound system, which is going to allow for excellent sound, and Bi-xenon HD headlamps that make it much easier to see at night. The Regal is also going to come with park assist which can help those that have a hard time of parallel parking by detecting the objects in the front and the back and turning the wheel accordingly.
It is clear from the 2012 Regal that the Regal has come quite a long way since the times in which they were viewed as a mere sedan in the market. With the new Regal people are going to see a completely new side and it is bound to be one that people enjoy.
