2012 Ford Focus
There has been information and photos leaked of the new 2012 Ford Focus that is hoped to gain more exposure and become the preferred car of many of those people who once complained that the Focus could not compare with cars like the Mazda 3 or the Volkswagon Golf.
The 2012 Ford Focus will offer a new 2.0 liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine in all the models, which has the capacity of 155 horsepower and 140 pound foot of torque. What is also a new edition to the line of the Ford Focus is the all new PowerShift dual-clutch automated manual, which comes with paddle shifters. With this new addition, those who want a smaller car with the added benefit of driving a manual transmission, now have the option.
Probably the most notable feature that the Ford Focus will be getting is in the model Focus ST, which is going to be even more powerful, and something that most consumers have been looking for. The Focus ST delivers 247 horsepower and will have a six speed manual transmission. It is also promises to deliver a powerful sound for those wanting something that will compete and hold its own with the other four cylinder cars geared towards performance and racing.
Safety wise, the Ford Focus will be the next generation air bags that are installed in the vehicles. These new air bags are aimed at decreasing the amounts of injuries that result every year from air bags being deployed. These air bags will also release some gas if the car detects a smaller than average person being in the seat when an accident occurs.
The new Ford Focus is tested at getting forty miles per gallon, which is the amount of the Ford Fiesta. It also is being said that the Focus will not be without any technological device software, such as the My Ford Touch. It is also supposed to have the capabilities of turning the car into a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The new 2012 Ford Focus is definitely turning heads, and Ford will more than likely reap the benefits of taking the time to improve upon a car that so many love to drive.
