Buick Attracting New Buyers
Despite some pessimistic attitudes towards the new line that Buick has come out with, everyone can now see that the line is working and attracting more customers. Last year was when Buick hit the rock bottom and only sold around 102,000 cars.
So what is about the new Buick’s that are selling? For starters, Buick has redesigned many of the cars that are notoriously associated with Buick. For example, the Buick LaCrosse has underwent a major cosmetic change making it more attractive to younger buyers. Buick has often been associated with being a family or older generation car, doing this revamping of the models has really affected their sales in a positive way. In fact, sales of the LaCrosse have improved by around 99% in September.
The Buick model, the Enclave, was the second highest increase in the Buick models having sales increasing by 60% in September.
In addition to the updates to the models, Buick also worked on the quality of the vehicle. Making the vehicle less loud and not as rough riding, greatly improving the ride. Which is something many people who have purchased the vehicles have pointed out are the greatest benefits of owning one of the new Buick models.
If Buick keeps up with the current selling rate that they are, then it is estimated that they will have sold 150,000 cars by the end of the year. However, this is far from their sale record that happened in the year 1984 in which they sold 941,611 cars.
Despite the good news that Buick is slowly making a steady come back into the car buying market in the United States, the brand is still more popular in China. It is believed that GM will be making the majority of its profits from those sales in China due to the brand loyalty to Buick. Even with this being said, the new models offered by Buick are definitely turning more heads and are competing with a different type of car than it did years ago.
