California New Dealers Associations files petition against Chrysler
Chrysler is being accused by the California New Dealers Association as owning a dealerships that is considered illegal. The store is called Motor Village LA and is one of which Chrysler is testing and allowing the public to see concept cars that they have been in the process of making. Chrysler has stated that they want to open many more of these stores across the nation in order to let the world know just what is up ahead for the brand.
The association has filed a petition with the California courts in which they want Chrysler to be reprimanded for their behavior. They want the store to ultimately close down. And the reason that they believe that Chrysler is in violation of the law is because the store operator is not losing anything by opening the store. The association maintains that in order to be a proper dealership that there has to be money invested that is on the line.
Chrysler has said that they completely disagree with the allegations that are being brought up against them, however, they look forward to discussing this with the court when they are set to meet. The petition is also stating that any automaker cannot open dealerships that are within ten miles of the same brand of dealerships. The Motor Village is within ten miles of three Chrysler dealerships, however, one could say that the Motor Village is not a real dealership since it is just a presentation of concept cars that are not being sold.
No matter what the association is thinking about the dealership, those that have been to the dealership are enjoying just how up front and honest that Chrysler is being, they are allowing the world to see just what they have going on in production and it shows that they are aiming to please. Hopefully, this petition will not put them in too much of a bind as the idea is one that is deserving of the time.
