Chrysler and Dodge Talk Future Plans

Chrysler has been struggling to stay afloat in the economy, already having asked for some grant money in order to develop cars that the world wants. It seems that Chrysler could be closer to their goal that most thought, with a new car that is estimated to get 40 miles per gallon that they hope to have completed in approximately fourteen months. Chrysler is maintaining that this car will be the one thing that saves Chrysler in this economic downturn.

The newer vehicles that Chrysler and Dodge will be offering will be utilizing Fiat technology in making the vehicles more fuel friendly. However, testing and designing are still taking place, so no one really knows what the vehicle will look like or any specifics at this point.

For right now though, Chrysler has revamped the majority of vehicle offerings in order to appeal to consumers and keep themselves afloat. In addition, Chrysler is moving more towards luxury vehicles while Dodge is keeping with the youthful side of things, so that the automaker has all of its bases covered.

In other news, Dodge will be revamping some of their most adored vehicles, such as the Durango, the Charger, the Journey Crossover, Avenger and the Grand Caravan. Those close to Dodge state the newer vehicles, such as the Durango and Charger will be geared more towards European designs and this they believe will increase sales. The other vehicles listed here are expected to get more room and offer better fuel mileage as well.

Those working at Dodge know that the Durango and the Charger are going to attract new people as they will be interested in seeing just what type of changes have been made. However, they believe the difficulty will be in convincing the public that they have upgraded all their vehicles and that these are worthy of their attention as well. In either situation, the Chrysler Group is taking distinct steps towards revamping their lines and improving their quality, hopefully, it will pay off for them in the end.
