Dodge Durango Overhaul

The new Dodge Durango is surprising those that are getting the opportunity to test drive these vehicles. Most people are expecting the large SUV to be very similar to those of the past. Though it was a good selling SUV, most people found that it was a little bulky, a bit hard to park. However, the new Dodge Durango is going to surprise the general public and could become one of the best selling SUV's for Chrysler. 

The Dodge Durango shares a lot of characteristics with the Mercedes GL-Class SUV, however without the price of the Mercedes. Which means that people are going to get more for their money with the new Durango. The ride is considerably much smoother than past models, and most agree that this is going to make more people want to try and buy the SUV. 

The entry level Dodge Durango is going to be offered in a two wheel drive with a V6 engine. However, for those wanting more power, the Dodge Durango is also going to be offered in a Hemi V8 engine, so that die hard Dodge fans are still going to get the towing and hauling power that they expect with Dodge. 

The new design of the Durango cuts down on the amount of noise that is heard when inside the cab. Plus, it is also cutting down on the creaks and groans that those with older Durango's experienced when driving the SUV. The interiors have also gotten a makeover, offering more room and even sitting better than past Durango's. 

The only downside seems to be that the Durango has not really improved its gas mileage much even though the V6 engine is now being offered. However, is this going to stop many people from buying it? Maybe so, but those with large families and wanting the room are going to find that the Durango tops their list of those SUV's that they are interested in.
