Hyundai Ends Assurance Program
Many people choose to do business with Hyundai simply because the warranty on these cars are something that no other automaker can compete with. However, it looks like some of the offerings that they give their loyal consumers is going to be leaving, as the company prepares for a rocky economy ahead of them. The company has announced that they are retiring the Hyundai Assurance Program.
This was a revolutionary program that started in 2009 when the full effects of the recession were being felt. It allowed for those that had their car for two years or less and found themselves losing their jobs, they were allowed to return the car to the Hyundai dealership nearest to them and return it with no questions asked and no worries. Around 350 people utilized the program since 2009. However, the program is no more since the beginning of April.
Was this a wise move for Hyundai? Considering that only 350 people used this program, it seems that there was not as much of a need as they had previously thought. However, those that used the program was more than likely very grateful for the opportunity to do this. Those that are close to Hyundai state that due to the jobless Americans in the United States is becoming less and less of a problem, they simply do not see the need to keep the program intact. Most of those that are professionals on the economy agree since the economy is increasing slowly and more people are finding employment. Hyundai also states that those who are buying new vehicles now have steady jobs and are making sure that they can afford the car to begin with.
The program is one that many people find use for and it is was the only one of its kind that was offered by an automaker that was in the United States. One of the reasons why Hyundai has loyal consumers that constantly come back.
