Malibu Impresses at Shanghai Show
The Shanghai Show was home to many cars that were unveiled for the first time, including the Chevrolet Malibu. Many people who had heard that the Malibu was going to be the attempt by General Motors to make a car that would appeal to all markets, regardless of location were a bit worried when they heard about the Malibu being this car. After all, the Malibu is somewhat of a trademark car for the brand and changing it when it was doing so well seems a bit ludicrous. However, the Shanghai Show proved that the new Malibu was going to be something that the world is ready to embrace, without having to make distinctions on the car for each market that it is being sold in.
The new Malibu seems to be something that most people are interested in with the car being wider, allowing for more room on the interior of the car. The build of the car is being described as more athletic, while also offering better fuel mileage than the car has had in the past. Those that are Chevrolet dealers are stating that they cannot wait for the release of the vehicle and are ready to offer it to consumers, who they believe are ready to embrace this model due to higher standards being set by those other manufacturers in the mid-sedan market.
The redesign of the Malibu is something that most people are pointing out is going to do wonders for the Chevrolet brand since in the past they have never redesigned a model that was already doing well on its own. Most are stating that this shows that Chevrolet is embracing the future and ready to tackle the obstacles that may be presented to them along the way. The Malibu is set to be produced in two different plants in the United States, with the release of the vehicle in 2012, as it is being called a 2013 model.
