Mind Reading Ferrari’s

Ferrari is working on an idea that if it becomes reality could change the driving industry forever. Ferrari is working on allowing their cars to be able to test the mental state of the driver in order to improve the safety of the car. For example, if the person becomes too hyped up about driving their Ferrari, which most people do get a little excited, then the car adjusts making sure that safety is involved in driving at all times. 

The car is going to be able to do this by having sensors installed that will monitor heart beat, blood pressure, the number of times that a person blinks, other facial reactions and brain activity. The car will adjust when it deems it appropriate. There are some cars that already have these sensors in place, like the Volvo brand. However, the sensors in place are really just a way to make sure that there is no intruder in the car since it checks for heartbeats.

There are those in the field that are praising this technology since it will cut down on the number of accidents that occur because of the driver not having complete control. While others are stating that it is an attack on privacy. Many people argue that this technology will take away from the driving of the sports car, however, Ferrari says that as long as people are calm and in control, there should be no performance that is lost. The only time that the sensors will click in is when the person is out of control or until they calm down. 

Many people wonder if this is just the start of some of the most advanced technology that the world has ever seen. And wonder if testing to see if a person's blood alcohol level is the next step for car automakers in the name of making our road ways more safer.
