Redesigned Cars for 2012

Honda is considered one of the top selling foreign brand of cars in the United States, with the Honda Civic being perhaps the most popular car that the company sells and is considered the number four car in regard to top selling models in the United States. It is for that reason that they have went to the drawing tables and redesigned the Honda Civic in hopes to keep attracting a demographic that loves their cars.

The new 2012 Honda Civic will be making its debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January, then making its way to the sales floor six months later for consumers to purchase. But what exactly should consumers expect with the new Civic? The original plans for the redesign of the Civic was to make it larger to appeal to more families, however, after careful consideration and a look at the global market that idea was tossed. Instead, at the Detroit Auto Show consumers should be prepared for a Civic of the same size as past models, however infused with a more edgy, sportier look. This could mean that Honda is trying to appeal to a much younger crowd that what the current Civic is aimed.

The idea of redesigning many of the cars that consumers love is not new by any means, and this coming year we will see a lot of these cars getting a face lift. Besides, the Honda Civic, Ford has plans to redesign the Ford Focus, another small car that gets a lot of attention. While Chevrolet is set to redesign the Cruze, making it bigger to appeal to a wider audience. Rounding up the redesigns will be Hyundai, who plans to redesign the Elantra, one of the best selling models, for 2012. This new plan of redesigning means that automakers are taking notice of what consumers are buying and instead of scraping what is already loved cars, they are making sure that these cars are staying with the times so that they will continue to be loved.
