Toyota Prius Review, Pictures and more..
When people think of hybrid cars, they usually think of small cars that are going to sound as though they are running on nothing but foot power, like something that a person would see on the "Flintstones". However, the new hybrid cars that are out there are going to be economical, as well as being something that people are going to want to drive, thanks to the improvements that have been made over the years. And this is definitely holding true to the 2010 Toyota Prius. This is the third generation of Prius, though it is the generation that seems to be getting more attention. The reason for this is basically because the first and second generation lacked options for buyers and they more times than not left people wanting something a bit faster and something that was much bigger.
The third generation of Prius is one of the best hybrid's on the market getting around fifty miles per gallon for most drivers. While those that drive in Eco mode may return figures that are more in the seventy miles per gallon range. Something that other hybrid's have not been able to do as of yet. So what differences are people going to see with the new Prius as compared to the older generations? First off, they are going to notice that it has a bigger 1.8 liter engine and this is able to produce around 134 horsepower, which is the major improvement over the past generations of the Prius. Another aspect that has improved is that the new Prius is offering three driving modes that are going to enable people to choose whether they want to drive in Economical mode, which is going to render the best gas mileage, though it will be the less performance of the three modes. The other mode is Power mode, which is going to turn the Prius into something that you are going to love to drive since it is going to offer a much better response time and so forth. The third mode is Normal, which is somewhere in between the Eco and Power mode.
As far as room, there is much more room for those passengers that are riding in the back, which is something that is going to make many passengers happy when they have ridden in past generations of the Prius. There are some available options that are going to make people squeal with delight, such as the solar sunroof, automatic parallel parking system, lane assist system, cruise control and the seventeen inch wheels option. All of which are going to allow people to make the Prius something that they are going to love to drive.
So is the Prius worth the time of buyers? For those that are wanting one of the more fuel efficient vehicles out there, then they are going to find that this one to put on the list of considerations. Though most people are going to willingly write this off since they are not aware that Toyota has improved the Prius quite a bit since it was first manufactured.
